Meet the JAS Competition Horses.

PRESTON



Preston is a 14 y.o., 16.2 hand Thoroughbred gelding.  A fantastic mover and an impressive jumper.  He is the old seasoned war horse of the barn.  Preston always shows up for work and enjoys being an upper level event horse.  He is consistent in all three phases, but excels on the cross country course.  Preston is brave, intelligent, and athletic.  Preston will be getting some well deserved rest.  Katie will continue Preston at Preliminary, with hopes of moving up to Intermediate in 2012.   Here are some of Preston's accomplishments with Katie in the irons in 2011.
-MDHT @ Loch Moy 1st in OT
-Marlborough Horse Trials 2nd in Prelim/Training
-Middleburg Horse Trials 2nd in OP  (before being WD from XC due to weather conditions)
-MDHT @ Loch Moy 2nd in OT on a 34.0



FAST PUNCH


Fast Punch 7 y.o., 16 hand ,Dresden bred Thoroughbred gelding.  Too slow for the track, "Hoover" is steady, quiet, and intelligent.  Hoover always shows up for work, and is a wonderful confident ride on cross country.  With Katie in the irons, they have enjoyed a successful Training fall season.  Katie will be moving Hoover up to Preliminary in the spring.  Here are some of his accomplishments in 2011.
-MDHT @ Loch Moy 5th place in OT
-Middleburg Horse Trials 3rd place OT (before being WD from XC due to weather conditions)
 Hoover will be competing at Rubicon Fall Horse Trials OT and MDHT @ Loch Moy OT



ORANGE PEKOE


Orange Pekoe is 14 y.o., 15.3 hand Thoroughbred gelding.  Pekoe is Katie's little ball of fire!  A horse that cost Jon and Katie a dollar, very misunderstood, turned into Katie's horse of a lifetime.  Katie adores this extremely athletic jumper, and owes her breakthrough into the upper levels to him.  Katie likens Pekoe to a general, he marches out and attacks the cross country course.  He has built himself a fan club, who admire is extravagant jumping style and speed.  Here are some of Pekoe's 2011 accomplishments with Katie in the irons.

-Morven Park H.T. 13th in OT
-Surefire H.T. 2011 13th in OP
